Jane combines family, business, community and alumni enterprises with her addiction to writing. Her Family consists of her four sons and ten grandchildren. They are involved in all aspects of her life and provide inspiration for new books. Her Business consists of: -Hale Fireworks DBA Rainbow Fireworks, Star World Fireworks, Rocket City Fireworks, Phoenix Fireworks and Central Mississippi Importers. -Hale Sportswear which consists of a retail store and Time Out Cafe, a sports theme restaurant located in Hale's Crossing Mall in Buffalo Missouri. -Rainbow Publications/Toys which publishes, promotes and distributes her children's Land series of holiday mysteries and their line of Mollycoddle companion plush animals. Her Community & Alumni enterprises includes being president of the DCAA (Dallas County R-1 Alumni Assoc.), one of the few successful high school alumni organizations responsible for school carnivals, homecoming, pageants and for awarding six annual scholarships.

Jane's writing consists of a weekly column, "Buffalo...As I Remember It" in the Buffalo Missouri County Courier. She has been writing this column since 1993 and has won numerous awards. She also writes free lance feature articles for various area publications. |

Her Children's "Land" series of holiday mysteries will consist of six books. Many of Jane's columns written for the Buffalo, Missouri County Courier, come from memories of her mother, Inez Sadler Shewmaker. Jane has compiled a book from these memories which honors mothers titled Every Day Is Mother's Day. It is now available from Skyward Publications. A companion book to this, Every Day is Father's Day, is due out for Father's Day, 2006 |

Jane works with "Young Authors Conference" in Warrensburg, Missouri and Tri-Lake Young Authors Conference in Highlandville, Missouri. She does book signings and promotions and is available for Rainbow Publication's Recycling Reading Program in schools, writers workshops, speaking engagements and Elderhostels.
